About Me
As I was growing up in Colombia, I found myself interested in pursuing a career in architecture. I did as much as I could to develop knowledge, skills and an aesthetic, which I also knew could carry over to other areas. At some point, I decided to take the leap and move to the United States to begin my studies. One of my motivations for architecture was the idea of building tangible things people can use, inhabit and incorporate in their every day lives. While I was taking classes, I would wander around Manhattan, to be surrounded by inspiring images, massive advertisement on digital billboards, outdoor panels, street furniture advertising, bus wraps and so much creativity. Immersed in this amazing scenery made me wonder what It would be like to pursue a career involving all of this in my day-to-day life. It helped too that I often visited museums, galleries and much else. It was at this time where I found my true inspiration in all sorts of places, researching incredible images, illustrations and graphics while creating them too. Since then, I have been fortunate to find my calling in the creative industry. During my more than sixteen-year career as a designer, I have held positions of progressive responsibility in a range in-house, agency and freelance environments.
